Royal Vienna Style Hand Painted Lidded Urn Vase Titled "Distel"

An elaborate late 19th century Royal Vienna style porcelain lidded urn vase featuring a mint green ground lavishly detailed with raised gilding, magenta Greek key borders, and intricate foliate cartouches. The vase is flanked by twin gilt handles terminating in finely painted classical maiden busts and is topped by a matching domed cover with a pinecone finial. A central oval reserve presents a delicate hand-painted portrait of a classical young woman holding a thistle sprig, titled "Distel" (Thistle) on the underside alongside a blue Royal Vienna beehive mark. Raised on a stepped circular foot and a square gilt base, the piece exhibits exceptional turn of the century craftsmanship and includes a Christie's auction provenance tag
