For those unfamiliar, the invisible setting, also known as "Serti Mystérieux," employs gemstones that are precisely calibrated and cut with specified girdles to fit into a fine wire framework. This method allows the jewelry to display "seamlessly" adorned with gemstones, absent of prongs, bezels, or any visible means of support. This complex technique was perfected and patented by Van Cleef & Arpels in 1933, and is now exemplified perfectly in this 18k white gold ring currently in good condition.
