Óleo sobre lienzo - Firmado a mano - 19/20th century Rudolf Possin born in Magdeburg in 1861 was educated at the "Kunstschule " in Weimar conducted by Max Thedy. This teacher was known for his interiors of Dutch fishing life. Possin travelled in his footsteps to Volendam and markets and could be found there every year in Hotel Spaander with many other artists from 1905 to 1914. See photo from the book ‘Volendam schildersdorp (1880-1940) ’ edition by Waanders. In our opinion, the painting is very vaguely signed see photo, framed in the original Heijdenrijk frame. On the back of the canvas is a small restoration sticker on the bottom left; see photo, not visible from the front.
