Russia - 1943 - Tula - Bi-Pod - DP28 - Machine Gun - 7.62x54mmR cal
A very good DP28 in excellent condition. This is an original WW2 era weapon that you hardly see in this state, completely in unused condition. The butt is in very nice condition and has the original cleaning brush worked in the butt. The blueing of the steelwork is almost completely intact. The corresponding original bipod is there. the 7. 62 mm Ruchnoy Pulemyot DP (Degtyaryova pakhotnyi) was put into service by the Soviet army in 1928. It's extremely simple, yet remarkably reliable and robust. It remained the standard light machine gun until the 1950s. The DP's success was the simple locking, which uses locking flaps on the latch that were pushed out. The DP proved to be resistant to dust and dirt which made it very effective. Will be carefully packaged and shipped by registered mail. See the pictures for a good own impression.
