Nikolai Fyodorovich Makarov is the designer of the gun and had designed the double action Makarov based on the Walther ppk The calibre is 9x18mm Makarov and 8 fit in the magazine. The idea behind this calibre was that during a war ammunition could perhaps fall into the hands of the enemy but then it would be unusable for their 9x19mm weapons. The blueing is almost 100% present. The plastic red grip with star is also undamaged. The traces of deactivation have remained minimal. There are no moving parts. ! ! !
