About the factory: In the 19th century, after the introduction of "prohibitive tariffs" in Russia, the demand for porcelain and faience products increased. This served as an incentive for the emergence of an entire empire of porcelain production - the Kuznetsov partnership. The enterprise began its activity in 1832 in the town of Dulevo and after a few decades this factory became the leading porcelain manufacturer in Russia. The Kuznetsov family, gradually increasing the volume of manufactured products, always tried to follow fashion trends and improved the quality of products targeted at a wide range of consumers. Thus, by the end of the 19th century, the Kuznetsovs turned their enterprise into the largest network of factories in Europe located throughout the country.

Kuznetsov managed to significantly expand the sales market due to the production of goods oriented to the eastern consumer: large painted bowls, hookah bowls, bowls, etc. These goods were produced by the Gardner and Gzhel factories and were decorated in oriental style.

All other products were decorated with one-color printing, which was hand-painted at the last stages of production. At the beginning of the twentieth century, they began to imitate hand painting with multicolor printing. The subjects for the paintings were mainly landscapes, romantic scenes, and floral ornaments. A whole series of sets and dishes with images of scenes from the Patriotic War of 1812, released on the occasion of the centenary of victory, is known.

The, and boxes were in wide demand.

kleyma-kuznecova-1.png Kuznetsov's partnership included several plants and factories, each enterprise had its own brand and specialization. The hallmarks of the early period of Kuznetsov porcelain (1810-1860s) had a different configuration, most often they were in a circle or a vignette. They were usually done by pressing into the dough and then painting with blue or green paint. Quite often in this period there are marks with spelling errors.
