Russian Or Swedish Candelabra - Marble, Ormolu, Bronze & Crystal - 19th century

A n incredible, large and impressive pair of fine Russian or Swedish girandole candelabra dating to the early 19th century, circa 1790-1800. The pair comprise of crystal, ormolu, bronze and marble. The marble is a stunning hazel green colour. Each girandole featuring marble vase-formed bodies flanked by ormolu mounts connected by ormolu chains. Each issuing four scrolled and chiselled bronze candle branches surmounted by a further candle holder draped in richly, multi-faceted crystal drops of the finest quality and linked in an abundance of ormolu chains. Each raised on bronze tripod bases mounted onto a further stepped marble base. Due to the high amount of led used in the production of glass in the early portion of the 19th century, these candelabra radiate the colours of the rainbow throughout the room when light/ sunlight hits them. Approximate dimensions: 49. 5 cm high x 22 cm wide x 22 cm deep 5985 grams Condition: Overall, the girandoles are in brilliant condition, without damage or repairs.
