PROVENANCE: Private Collections, United States LITERATURE: Tony Birks, 'The Art of the Modern Potter', Country Lift, 1967; p.148 and 156 for an illustration and reference to this form which was 'designed in 1958, and cast from plaster moulds. The salt pot is based on a Greek oil lamp, and has obvious practical advantages with its wide salt mouth.'
