Heartfelt poet of color Muti, born in Vicchio di Mugello in 1904, collected and translated into color until 1995, the year of his death, the emotions of his land of origin, leaving a living testimony in the landscape painting of the twentieth century.
His work shows through the centrality of the Tuscan landscape - plains, hills, animals, skilfully captured on the canvas - his love for light and the link with the almost thousand-year-old tradition of the Giotto school so rooted in Vicchio.
His landscapes, the feeling of the earth that pervades his works remind us, in the manner of Dante, how through art "man eternalizes".
