S. Karpen & Co Attrib Art Nouveau Parlor Chairs
These are elaborately carved parlor chairs attributed to S. Karpen & Co. (1880-1951). Top rail with partially nude woman with draped skirt and surrounded by carved roses. Side rails and arms with carved foliate details and front rail with additional roses. Legs carved with roses and cabriole foot. Upholstery appears to be replaced with an Asian theme. Both approx. 33" x 25" x 43" tall (3.5ft). Stunning Set. Very rare to find a set. Faboulous.
