SA DAGGER
An SA dress dagger, 8.75 in blade, 13.75 overall, with brown wood grip with S.A enamel runes button, lightly worn, and an eagle and swastika device. The blade is etched with the motto of the organization: ‘Alles fur Deutschland' (‘All for Germany'), and bears the maker mark of Anton Wingen, Jr., Solingen. The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped ‘NO', indicating the regional branch of the S.A. to which the owner belonged. This stamp also indicates that the dagger was manufactured prior to 1935. The dagger is housed in a scabbard of anodized steel with nickel silver fittings, with the brown leather hanger present complete with fully-operational clip marked ‘D.R.G.M.' and device of a letter ‘A' for the firm F. W. Assmann. The blade shows some running marks, a few negligible dings to the ‘ball' termination of scabbard, otherwise very good condition.
