SA MILITARY SPORTS BADGE RING
SA MILITARY SPORTS BADGE RING
In November 1933, SA-Stabschef, Ernest Rohm instituted the SA Sports Badge to encourage physical fitness for SA and SS members. The badge features a Roman gladius-style sword mounted over a swastika, and replicated in great detail in this signet-style ring. Silver wash over bronze, with loss on shank but otherwise very good. This exact ring appears on p. 70 in ‘German & Spanish Military Rings: A Historical Perspective' by Stephen J. Shaw (Lancaster: Kollektor Press, 2021), and is accompanied by a copy of the book.
