The portfolio, comprising 23 lithographs printed in black, 1973, each signed in pencil, numbered XLI/L (aside from the edition of 250 printed in colours), on Japan paper, loose (as issued), contained in the original red cloth-covered portfolio, with faux-leather spine with title and artist's signature printed in black on the front (lacking text and plates L and U)
each sheet: approx. 755 by 530mm 29¾ by 20⅞in
overall: 802 by 600 by 4mm 31½ by 23⅝ by 1⅝in
Condition Report:
The full sheets, in good condition, a few sheets with very pale paper discoloration, occasional pale fox marks, a few slight handling creases, two sheets with a short tear at sheet edges (the longest measuring approx. 8mm), occasional nicks at extreme sheet edges. The portfolio with cracking and small losses along the spine, a few areas of discoloration and slight surface soiling, occasional scuff marks.
