The offered lot is accompanied by a copy of Sam Maloof Woodworker signed and inscribed by Maloof as well as three letters from Alfreda and/or Sam Maloof that were sent to the collectors who commissioned this rocking chair.

Condition Report: In overall good condition and handsome appearance. This chair has been properly cared for and the wood appears to have been well conditioned throughout the years. It retains strong figuring to the wood grain and appears to have only been lightly used. There is an area measuring 1/4 x 1/2in along top rail of seat back that is either a small restoration or a small imperfection in the grain; either way, it has a slightly different texture to the touch.
