Exquisite (7) piece tea service in solid sterling silver by Sanborns, featuring stylized gourd-form bodies, floral accents and elegant foliate handles. Includes: teapot, coffeepot, tea kettle on warming stand, snuffer, waste bowl, covered sugar bowl, creamer, and large serving tray. All pieces marked Sanborns Mexico, Sterling. Dimensions: (Largest, tray) H 2.25" x W 29" x D 19" Weight: 277.753 ozt Condition: Snuffer detached from chafing base of kettle (needs new pin). Otherwise showing light wear consistent with age and use; minor age toning and crazing to bone on pot handles; scratches and a few small dents to tray. Light surface scuffs, minor tarnish throughout.
Condition: All the items in this auction remain at our gallery location in Norwalk, CT for pickup. Preview is by appointment, Monday-Friday, 9:30-4:30. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Tuesday, November 30th- Friday, December 10th, 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS. We will offer in-house shipping to the Contiguous USA for select smaller items in this sale, please contact us prior to bidding for a quote as purchases are not contingent on shipping.
