A handsome and rare album illustrated with 29 color woodcuts by Sylvain SAUVAGE, including 25 hors texte compositions with remarks, matted, that the artist had created for the works of Anatole France. Preface by Charles Maurras. The book was printed entirely on Pierre Bouchet's hand press, which also collaborated on the engraving of the plates. Edition of 160 copies. This is an unnumbered and unsigned chapel copy, one of the very few printed on japon, enriched with a suite in black of the 29 woodcuts on Chine paper, as well as one of the 55 suites of 3 refused plates, here one of the 5 on japon.
