SCARCE AMT 30 CARBINE SEMI AUTOMATIC PISTOL
SERIAL NUMBER: A07719. BARREL: 6 1/2". CALIBER: .30 CARBINE. Manufactured: MID 1990s. The AMT AutoMag III chambered in .30 Carbine is a distinct, large-frame semi-automatic pistol designed by Harry Sanford. Originally engineered to fire a cartridge meant for the World War II M1 Carbine rifle, this handgun stands out for its robust, all-stainless-steel construction and an elongated slide built to accommodate the long rifle round. It operates on a short-recoil mechanism with a single-action trigger system and features a 6 1/2 inch barrel, resulting in a total unloaded weight of nearly three pounds. Because the .30 Carbine powder is formulated to burn over the length of a rifle barrel, firing it from a handgun creates an incredibly dramatic muzzle flash and a deafening report, making it a highly memorable and attention-grabbing firearm at any shooting range. Despite the intense blast and visual fireworks, the AutoMag III delivers surprisingly manageable felt recoil, often compared to a standard .45 ACP pistol. This tamed recoil is due to the heavy steel frame absorbing much of the energy, though shooters must still contend with the significant blast wave. It comes with (3) 8 round magazines. CONDITION: Excellent. Operates normally. MODERN 27-143
