SCARCE H&R MODEL 65 REISING .22 SEMI-AUTO RIFLE
SERIAL 7986. BARREL 23". CALIBER .22 LONG RIFLE. Manufactured from 1944-1946 only. This semi-automatic rifle was supposed to be similar to the U.S. M1 Garand Rifle. It was used by the United States Marine Corps for training. It has a military type blade front sight with protective ears and a Redfield peep receiver sight. The Worcester address is stamped on the barrel. The letter L is stamped at the breech of barrel. This rifle features a smooth pistol grip stock. Rifle is magazine fed and comes with one 10-round magazine. Stock is equipped with sling swivels. Finish is a military type green matte parkerized type. Bore and action are sharp. Metal finish is nearly complete with just some minor handling marks. Stock has a few light impressions. A rather scarce military training rifle associated with the Marine Corp. C&R
