SCHERMERHORN POTTERY ATTRIBUTED, RICHMOND, VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, brushed "3" gallon capacity below handle, ovoid form with rounded rim, beaded neck ring with double incised shoulder rings below, and arched handles. Brushed cobalt floral decoration on both sides. Attributed to Richmond Factory, John P. Schermerhorn (1788-1850), Henrico County, VA. 1817-1837.
Condition: Good condition, hairlines to rim and base with approximate 8" L hairline extending from base, discoloration on lower half with numerous light radial hairlines on lower half.
Size: 14" H, 6 7/8" D rim.
