A circa 1880 German Schierholz porcelain figural candlestick. Depicting a young man standing contrapposto adjacent to roses. Offers one candle cup supported on a vine form stem. Bearing signature mark to the underside. From the Estate of Renate Gilmore, Brighton, Mich.
Condition: When viewed under UV light, inpainting and possible repair fluoresced to the relaxed hand & adjacent cuff. Having a moderate degree of chips and losses to the flower petals and leaves. CP
