- Walter Clemens Schmidt (1890 Frankfurt/Main - 1979 ibid.) was a German painter, graphic artist and stained glass painter; as a master student of Professor Julius Diez, he first studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Munich and at the Academy of Arts in Düsseldorf, as he always shied away from public exhibitions, most of his works are privately owned; many of his colorful stained glass windows are due to the destruction in the 2nd century Fell victim to the World War.Show more
