the brass breakarch dial with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, the foliate scroll engraved centre with a subsidiary second dial and a date aperture, gilt pierced scalloped c-scroll spandrels, the arch with a circular signature plate flanked by dolphins, signed 'Matt" Gemmell, Stewarton’, the case with a broken swan necked pediment with moulded rosette roundels and the dial flanked by quarter columns, the arched door flanked by canted angles, on a plinth base with bracket foot, the twin train weight driven movement striking to a bell
