Rare, Revolutionary War Period Officers Liquor Box, comprised of two compartments, the lower fitted for sixteen bottles, the upper fitted for decanters and glasses. The wooden case with iron strap hinges, drop bail side handles, lockplate (no key), including: (6) 9 1/4" high hand blown gilt decorated stoppered bottles, one with broken neck and missing stopper; (6) 5 1/2" high blown gilt decorated stoppered bottles, one with top rim chip; (2) blown gilt decorated tumblers, 3 1/4" high; and (3) blown footed glasses, 3 1/2" high; case: 10 3/8" high, 16 1/2" x 11". Lid shrinkage cracks and corner chip, hardware surface rust, footed glasses are likely replacements.
