The Buddha sits in meditation on a double lotus pedestal, the right hand extended in the earth-touching gesture and the left resting palm-up in the lap. A robe passes diagonally across the chest and falls in restrained folds over the shoulder and arm.
Traces of gilding remain prominent on the face and upper body, contrasting with the darker bronze and blue-green accretions around the curled hair. The sculpture is displayed on a separate rectangular black base.
