Transition, in the style of J.F. OEBEN (Jean François Oeben, maître 1761), Paris ca. 1765/70.
Tulipwood, rosewood and partly tinted precious woods in veneer, and finely inlaid with marquetry "à cubes sans fond", fillets and decorative frieze. Front with hinged writing surface, the inside lined with gold-stamped green leather. Fitted interior with large central compartment, with 2 drawers on each side below 3 compartments arranged in 2 rows. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Shaped, violet/gray speckled marble top.
