SECRETAIRE WITH PAINTED DRAWER FRONTS,
Louis XV, probably Rhineland ca. 1760.
Tulipwood and rosewood in veneer, and "en papillon", and inlaid with reserves and fillets. Upper part with double-doors over a central drawer with 3 hinged compartments, in part with leather-lined compartments and analogous double-doors. Supplemented fitted interior with 10 drawers on top, arranged in 5 rows, and 6 drawers below, arranged in 3 rows, and with fine reverse glass painting featuring colorful flowers on a white ground. Front with 1 drawer on top. Bronze mounts and sabots. Requires some restoration.
