A hand painted Sevres plate signed de Humbert, Sevres, depicting Madame Juliette Recamier (much celebrated in French art) in a white Regency style gown in a central medallion. Madame Recamier was a famous French socialite who hosted a popular Salon in Paris. Green ground accented with gilt Empire laurel and fan leaf motifs. Marked on reverse with a red iron 'M. Imple de Sevres' mark, blue initials 'E. H.' and 'Mme. Recamier.'
