SHABTI FOR THE PRIEST NEFERKA

Description: A superb light turquoise faience ushabti figurine. He is wearing a tripartite wig. Only the hands, crossed over the chest, protrude from the complete mummiform shroud in which the figure is wrapped. These are holding two hoes and a seed bag, indicating the agricultural work which he must carry out in the Other World.Nine horizontal registers of hieroglyphs cover the body and include the name of the owner of the ushabti, Neferka, priest and scribe of the Temple of Ptah, son of the Lady Isis. This dignitary is known in Egypt as his ushabtis are some of the most beautiful which have been conserved.| Egypt, 26th Dynasty. 664-525 B.C.

Condition: Excellent condition Notes: The piece includes authenticity certificate.
