Provenance: The painting was gifted to the merchant ship Burmah Endeavour in 1977 by its builders, the China Shipbuilding Corporation of Taiwan, where it hung in the officers' dining saloon - when it came to scrap the ship, the painting passed to the current owner, who was Superintendent of the then-named Stena Queen.
