CARBINE. Cal. 52. S# 69336. Approx 27,000 of these were mfg in this configuration from 1858-63. This example is fit with a 22" round bbl with iron block mounted silver blade front sight & Lawrence patent rear sight. Iron furniture. Standard bbl & rec markings. Missing the top portion of the tape priming system. Walnut stock set with the carved initials PWR carefully carved on the left side with an open tack hole. CONDITION: Overall fair. The metal surfaces have a fairly uniform dark patina. Good markings. Stock was lightly sanded and has an added coat of gloss varnish. (01-30070/ZAL) ANTIQUE $1500-2000
