SHOREBIRD CARVING
Carved and Painted Wooden Sandpiper, with metal legs, standing atop a piece of driftwood, signed on base "Richard H. Moeller, 1963" (possibly a collector label), bird only: 6 1/4" high, 9" high overall, 16" x 5 3/4". Good condition. Richard H. Moeller was an important 20th Century decoy collector whose collection was largely bequeathed to the Shelburne Museum.
