SIGNED FRENCH SEVRES-STYLE PORCELAIN COVERED URN PAIR, each of baluster form with sweeping arched handles having figural Caryatid head terminals and mounted to a bronze metal base, featuring polychrome hand-painted images to each side including scenes featuring two winged cherubs with a large dolphin fish and reverse depicting mermen emerging from the sea and ethereal women on dry land, having rich turquoise ground, and each signed "G?g. Poitevin" for Georges Émile Poitevin (France, 1850-1910). Fourth quarter 19th century. 20 7/8" HOA.
Condition Report: One having chipping to top of exterior area where foot bolts into bottom of urn, each having loss to cover finial including one cover with minor flake to edge.
