SIGNED GEORGE FULTON, ALLEGHANY CO., VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED JARS, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, comprising one example with "1 1/2" gallon capacity, cylindrical form and cobalt brushed floral design, and one approximately one-gallon capacity example, wide-mouth form with horizontal feather decoration. Each having two incised shoulder rings, flattened rims, and central cobalt brushed "G.N.F." George N. Fulton (1834-1894) Pottery, Arritts, Alleghany Co., VA. Active 1867-1885.
Condition: Taller example broken in half and glued with two chips to rim and wide-mouth example with rim imperfections including crack and chip.
Size: 10 3/4" HOA.
