SIGNED THOMAS HART BENTON (1889-1975) PEN SKETCH WITH INSCRIPTION

A Thomas Hart Benton (1889-1975) light-hearted pen sketch on his personal letterhead (10.5 x 7.5 inches), drawn and given in gratitude to patrons Bill and Audrey Klein for their gift of wine. The sketch is a self-portrait of a grinning Tom, with a wild shock of hair and a wine bottle on the table before him, giving a toast of thanks. Dated "April 16 - '70", and inscribed by Benton below the image "We drink it to the best of friends, Bill & Audrey, Love Tom". Presented in frame, 11 x 8.5 inches.

Condition: Some overall toning to paper.
