A spectacular three-piece English Silver footed tea service, comprising a teapot, creamer, and open waste. This service features a highly ornate repousse pattern featuring women with bountiful breasts amidst a foliate field, stags, and a figural handles each depicting a beauty. Additionally, the teapot includes a removable finial. All pieces bear a city stamp of Sheffield, maker's mark of James Dixon & Sons Ltd. , and a date letter of 1890 (teapot and open waste) or 1888 (creamer). Total approx. weight of all items is 45.57 troy oz (gross). From a New Rochelle, NY estate. Dimensions: teapot measures approx. 9" in height. Open waste measures approx. 4.50" in diameter.
Condition Report: Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. Teapot exhibits damage to base and is slightly off kilter. The open waste and teapot both bear an engraving of a dolphin. Teapot is void of spacers, as a result the handle is no longer adhered. Please examine the provided photos to thoroughly evaluate each piece.
