Condition Report:
Original canvas. Some occasional traces of craquelure within the trees and foliage which appear stable and only visible upon close inspection. Overall the work appears in good condition.

Ultraviolet light reveals a horizontal line of retouching, approximately seven centimetres across, located in the trunks of the trees just above the figures; another horizontal line of retouching, approximately seven centimetres across, located in the foreground lower right; and one small spot of retouching in the tree canopy near the upper-right corner - these correspond to patches applied to the reverse of the canvas. There are one or two further spots of retouching along the lower edge and in the top of the foliage of the central tree.

Held in a gilt plaster frame.
