SIX TEA BOWLS AND SAUCERS WITH CHINOISERIE DECORATION,

Meissen, ca. 1723–24. Painted in the workshop of Johann Gregorius Höroldt and Johann Ehrenfried Stadler.

Each piece depicts Chinese people, in quatre-foil gold cartouches with a brown luster and foliage and ribbons in iron-red and purple. The bottom of the tea bowls features a garden landscape in an iron-red double-ring border. The rims with gold borders. The bottom with iron-red ring borders. Gold mark K.

H 4.2 cm. D 12.2 cm.

Gilding, rubbed. One tea bowl with hairline crack.
