Introduced in 1965, the Model 60 "Chiefs Special Stainless" was highly groundbreaking as the world's first regular-production stainless steel revolver. The "R" Prefix Era: S&W introduced the "R" serial prefix at R1 in 1969 to comply with new federal gun serialization regulations. Because the serial number is very low (R2377), it was among the first batch stamped with the letter prefix that year. Matching factory box and manual. CONDITION: Very Good. 99%.
