SN 3778 / 863789. 5" barrel, 6-shot double action revolver in .38 S&W. Smith & Wesson Model 10 with military proofs. Features blued finish, checkered walnut S&W Medallion grips, and lanyard ring. Marked on the butt with serial number, "P" and Army Ordnance inspection mark, as well as "W.B." for US inspector Waldemar Bromberg. This was a lend-lease pistol, known as the "Pre-Victory" (before they began putting a "V" prefix on lend-lease guns bound for British military service.) Marked "United States Property" on the left side of the top strap. Bore excellent, action flawless. Finish approximately 96% with muzzle wear, and very light general age, service, and holster wear. Comes with original leather flap holster, stamped "H.C." on the flap. Holster has brass closure knob and lanyard ring at the bottom. Excellent*
