'A millers dram' Distilled: April 1989 Bottled: May 1998 60% ABV / 70cl Pride of the Lowlands, Rosebank is making a comeback courtesy of Ian MacLeod Distillers who purchased the derelict Falkirk distillery in 2017. While renovations were delayed slightly by global events, the new stills were installed in May 2022 and production finally resumed in June 2023, almost 30 years to the day since the distillery stopped production in 1993. It might still be a while before we see any new Rosebank expressions hitting the shelves, but until then Ian MacLeod will be tiding us over with several exciting releases drawn from casks laid down prior the distillery’s closure. The question is, how will the new output stack up against these classics?
