A Chinese tripod bronze censer with vertical handles. Marked Guang Ji Da Bei tan Zhi (= made by the temple of great succor). Qing 1644–1912. Weight 1193 g. Diam c. 13 cm.

Provenance: Descendants of Poul Laursen (1910–1983). He worked for the Great Nordic Telegraph Company and was posted to Shanghai from 1947–1951 with his wife Trine Laursen.
