A Danish Empire mahogany side chair with inlays in the shape of lists and a rosette. Sweeping back and tapered legs. Ca. 1810.
Provenance: The chair comes from Tuteins Gaard in Copenhagen (the Copenhagen estate of the Danish family Tutein), which was purchased by the merchant Christian Lund in 1828. Lund was married to Nicoline Christine Kierkegaard, sister of the famous philosopher Søren Kierkegaard.
