A Sino-Tibetan bronze figure of Chakrasamvara united in yabyum with consort Vajrayogini, he has 12 arms, the main pair embraces the consort and holds a bell and vajra, the other hands holds various items a.o. damaru, a trident, the fourfaced head of Brahma, he wears a skull crown and a garland of severed heads. Bottom not sealed. Qianlong 1736–1795. Weight 1655 g. H. 20 cm.
Provenance: Descendants of Poul Laursen (1910–1983). He worked for the Great Nordic Telegraph Company and was posted to Shanghai from 1947–1951 with his wife Trine Laursen.
