A fine Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze figure of Amitayus seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus throne, the hands resting in meditation gesture holding a kalasa, dressed in a finely pleated dhoti with engraved borders, on his shoulders and around his arms a billowing scarf, he is adorned with jewellery, earrings and a five petalled crown, the blue coloured hair piled up and locks flowing on the shoulders. The eyes and mouth delicately painted. Bottom not sealed. Qianlong 1736–1795. Weight 8737 g. H. 34.5 cm.
