Mads Mikkelsen was trained at Aarhus Teaterskole (Aarhus Theatre School) and had his debutant movie role in the Danish drama “Pusher” from 1996. Before becoming an actor he worked as a professional dancer for eight years and prior to this he was a gymnast and a gymnastics instructor for 11 years (Gefion, Copenhagen).
