Carl Hårleman, attributed (b. Stockholm 1700, d. 1753)
A large Swedish early Rococo giltwood mirror, the top richly carved with openwork shell flanked by winged dragons, foliage and C-scrolls. Mid-18th century. H. 200 cm. W. 90 cm.
The Swedish architect Carl Hårleman introduced the Rococo style in Sweden and had the primary responsibility for the last part of the construction of Stockholm Castle.
