SONGYE FETISH (NKISHI)
The Mankishi (plural of "Nkishi") are figures of power,
They were used as relays with the spirits of the dead people very present in the religion..
They are used in "magic" rites serving the interest and well-being of an Individual or the entire community. (Art et pouvoir dans la Savane d'Afrique Centrale, p. 72-73).
