This classic gaucho knife measures 10” overall with a 5 1/2" blade. The plain blade is marked “ALIMAR TANDIL IND. ARG.”. Hilt & grip are solid silver with a diagonal reeding. There is a shield-like decoration on one side. The solid silver sheath has similar diagonal reeding, coupled with foliate motifs. The neck of the sheath has a partially legible mark that reads “__OUS__’A ALPACA_____TIES”. CONDITION: the knife shows light wear overall with no notable damage. (02-22367/BF). $200-400.
