SOUTHERN APPALACHIAN PAINT-DECORATED WOVEN-SPLINT BERRY BASKET, white oak, diminutive circular form with wrapped rim and arched handle secured with dome-head tacks, raised on a wrapped foot. Excellent original dry surface with blue-painted handle and medial weavers, and red-painted rim and foot. First quarter 20th century. 6 1/2" HOA, 4 1/4" H rim, 6 1/2" D.
