ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 7x57. S# B6396. Bbl. 29". Blade front sight. Early model ladder rear sight graduated to 2000m. The cleaning rod is mismatched; there is no visible number on the stock, but all other visible numbers are matching, including rear sight tabs. Receiver top has Spanish crest w/ "BERLIN 1894" marking. Left side rail has serial, Loewe & Spanish 1893 Mauser markings. Safety is not engaging properly and may require attention to fix. Walnut stock set w/ 1894-dated cartouche on left side of butt, bottom-mounted sling swivels, and modern leather sling. A cleaning rod is present. CONDITION: sanded stock set has an added finish with a few chips, scattered dings, and handling wear. Metal has a mostly mottled gray patina, with the bolt & buttplate appearing cleaned. Other parts show scattered oxidation, pitting, dings, and traces of original blue. Bore shows scattered notable pitting & oxidation. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Robert "Mike" Bricker.
